Congressman Ben Cline Visits Roanoke, VA Area Pharmacy

Jul 26, 2019
Congressman Ben Cline paid a visit to Hill's-Crouch Pharmacy in Hollins, VA on Tuesday July 2, 2019. Representing the 6th District of Virginia, Congressman Cline was interested in learning more about what issues are affecting independent pharmacy. Hill's-Crouch Pharmacy owner Larry Hill discussed DIR fees and GER fees as well as other PBM practices that affect both independent pharmacies and their patients. Congressman Cline is also one of a number of representatives that recently sent a letter to President Trump voicing their concerns that CMS failed to finalize the pharmacy DIR fee reform for plan year 2020. Several AmerisourceBergen associates were in attendance to also facilitate the discussion and help familiarize Congressman Cline with the challenges facing independent pharmacies.
