In honor of American Pharmacists Month, Chain Drug Review featured Steve Hoffart of Magnolia Pharmacy, a Good Neighbor Pharmacy, in its “Excellence in Pharmacy Practice” section: Independent makes a major difference in rural location.
Steve’s feature provides a great overview of the services his pharmacy provides, beyond filling prescriptions. These include immunizations, nutrition classes, medication therapy management and more, which are critically important resources given his pharmacy is often the first point of care in the rural community. Steve calls out how he leverages Facebook to connect with his patients, and the ways in which his pharmacy pursues personalized care through in-store classes. Steve also highlights some of the benefits of being a part of Good Neighbor Pharmacy, such as the medication synchronization and adherence programs.
